 Classes
are held once a week for 1 to 2 hours, depending on the student's
age as well as the time the class is offered, in continuous, 9-week
sessions. Saturday afternoon Workshops
are also available for those who would like to get acquainted with
Creative Hands Art
Studio or those whose schedule does not permit this time commitment.
Choose time slots in the morning, afternoon, or evening hours Monday through Friday, as well as Saturday morning and afternoon classes. Ages 3 ½-4 ½: "Mommy & Me" classes are specifically aimed at enriching the parent-child relationship through a collaborative effort on projects, with the emphasis on shape, tactile learning, developing fine motor skills and having fun. Each class meets for 1 hour once a week for 9 weeks. Weekday classes only. Ages 4-5 pre-K: "Just Me" classes are a great introduction to building an early understanding of how to draw, paint, and sculpt working from real life and imagination with lots of creativity. The child must be able to handle working alone with concentration. Each class meets for a hour once a week for 9 weeks. Weekday or Saturday classes. Ages 5-6: "Kindergarten Kids" gain confidence as they try new techniques and learn how to make more artistic choices in the pursuit of their vision. Each class meets for a hour once a week for 9 weeks. Weekday or Saturday classes. Ages 6-Teens: Afterschool or evening classes are available for those in first grade and above. Each class is specifically age-grouped and many of our students return year after year to this program, in which they can choose either foundational classes or specialized classes in drawing & painting or ceramics & pottery wheel. During each session meaningful projects are created that help encourage discipline, patience, and hard work (as well as fun!) to achieve truly beautiful and quality pieces of art.
