Student termination of a class already paid for:
Fall to Spring sessions: For the first 10-week session in September, cancellations made with at least three weeks' prior notification will be given a credit or refund minus a $25 administrative fee; cancellations made with two weeks' notification will be given credit only minus a $35 administrative fee; cancellations made with less than one week's notification will be given credit only minus a $35 administrative fee plus the cost of one class. For the other Fall to Spring sessions, cancellations made with at least two weeks notification will be given a credit or refund minus a $25 administrative fee; cancellations made with less than two weeks notification will be given credit only minus a $25 administrative fee; cancellations made with under one week notice will be given credit minus a $25 administrative fee plus the cost for one class. Students who need to drop a class mid-session will only be issued credit under unusual circumstances, subject to the Director's approval.

Summer session: Cancellations made with at least three weeks' notification will be given a refund or credit minus a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations with less than three weeks notification will be given a credit minus a $25 administrative fee. Cancellations with less than two weeks notification will not be issued a credit or refund, nor will a credit or refund be issued if the student decides to drop any time during the one-week class.

Creative Hands cancellation or switching of a class already paid for:
Creative Hands reserves the right to cancel a class that does not meet minimum enrollment requirements (3 or more students), or to switch that class to another day and/or time period. Students having paid for a cancelled class will receive a full refund. If a class is rescheduled to another day and/or time, students will have the option to enroll in that class.

Switching classes during a 10-week session:
Switching classes during a session will be subject to a $15 administrative fee.

Absences and makeups:
Creative Hands appreciates prior notification when a student knows he or she will be absent. Makeups are not always possible and are subject to the discretion of the instructor. If a student misses class due to illness, the instructor will try to get the student caught up during the following class. If this is not possible, a makeup will be scheduled so the student's project can be completed. If a student misses class for personal reasons (parties, vacations, etc.), no makeups will be granted. No pro-rates are given for missed classes. No makeups are given during the summer session.

Regarding emergencies:
In case of illness or other emergency, the Creative Hands staff will administer first aid if necessary and make every effort to notify the family. Students who have allergies or other conditions requiring special treatment should notify both the Instructor and the Office so this can be added to their file.
